10 uses for a voice recorder - why you absolutely NEED a voice recorder.

You will notice we write a lot about voice recorders mainly because the proprietor just loves getting jiggy with them but also because voice recorders are such a versatile tool of multiple uses. Voice recorders are a very popular and cost effective method of recording covertly (discreetly) or overtly (purposely on display) offering outstanding audio quality, can be used on the spur of the moment but more importantly, they provide vital evidence in cases where proof of verbal abuse or verbal agreements are necessary.

A genuine example not too long back in which a friend of mine (Mr N.B) wanted proof that his friends wife was having an affair with a DJ from a nearby pub. The reason my friend initially found out was during a drunken outburst by his girlfriend (she is a close friend of his wife) and as the saying goes - loose lips sink ships!

Not knowing how to even tell his friend about his wifes affair, or without proof, I recommended using a simple voice recorder to confront his wife and record the conversation to see what she says. To cut a long story short, she came clean and admitted the DJ was only one of several she had been seeing during her short marriage. The evidence was captured and the rest as you can imagine is history.

I for one always carry a voice recorder nowadays and why not? They are lightweight, don’t take up any room and you never know when you need to capture audio on the fly. I only wish I’d used one when my boss in the early 90’s finally offered me a pay rise after 4 years of loyalty then had amnesia when the raise didn’t show in my pay packet the following month.

So, who would use a voice recorder and why? Here are a few examples but not limited to:
